A star for your window

These stars made from aluminium paper are a family tradition – we made them every year in advent on a cold afternoon, sitting inside, enjoying tea and sweets while cutting stars of all shapes and sizes.

You need:

• Aluminium paper or any other kind of paper
• Scissors

cut a square the size you like your star


fold it three times to a triangle

cut out the tip of the star –



two cuts where the paper is open



cut out other forms where you want,



the more you cut out,



the more delicate your star will be


unfold the star

use tape to stick it to the window
